From 1988 until 2002, K. March was a United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, Los Angeles, California. In 2002 K. March completed her 14 year term as a Bankruptcy Judge, retired from being a Bankruptcy Judge, and returned to practicing law, founding her own law firm, The Bankruptcy Law Firm, P.C.

Attorney March is admitted to practice law in both the States of California and New York. March is a 1974 graduate of Yale Law School--one of the top law schools in the United States, where she was an editor of the Yale Law Journal (Yale Law School's prestigious law review publication). As a lawyer and Bankruptcy Judge, March has published numerous articles on Bankruptcy Law topics, and has taught bankruptcy law subjects to lawyers and other judges, in legal education programs presented by bar associations, judges' associations, and the Rutter Group, a major legal publisher. March is a co-author of the Rutter Group's soon to be published "Bankruptcy Practice Guide", and a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum.

Upon graduation from Yale law school, March was a law clerk to a United States District Court Judge, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York--one of the most prestigious Courts and one of the most prestigious positions for any young lawyer. Next, from 1975-1977, March was an attorney for three years at a major "Wall Street" law firm in New York City.

From 1978-1982, attorney March was a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles B Assistant U.S. Attorney, Office of the U.S. Attorney, Central District of California. There, attorney March won numerous cases in federal court on behalf of the US government.

From 1982, until she became a Bankruptcy Judge in 1988, March was an attorney in private law practice in Los Angeles, California. In private practice, March became a partner in a civil litigation firm that specialized in business cases.
